Security Policy

We take all reasonable steps to keep secure any information which we hold about you. Personal information may be stored both electronically on our computer system, and in hard-copy form. Firewalls, 2048 Bit v3 SSL encryption, passwords, anti-virus software and email filters act to protect all our electronic information.
 
We do not store credit card information, we securely submit credit card information to our bank for processing. 
 
 

Shipping 

We send all our items Australia wide via Auspost with options for Standard and Express postage. Price is calculated by weight. Same day dispatch on Tuesday – Thursday before 2:00pm. Average shipping times Australia wide is 5-12 days. we currently do not have international shipping or bulk shipping (more than 5kg) options. 

If you live outside Australia or need a custom shipping quote please contact us with your account details.

Local Delivery 

$5 Fixed rate local delivery for Cairns and surrounding areas. Tuesday – Thursday. 

 

Change of Mind

Added the wrong item to your cart or something not as described? We offer 30 day returns on most items providing the item is in its original condition and has not been used.
Log into your account and under Resolution Centre file a new dispute.
If you’re unable to access your account simply contact us with your order number and we try our best to get this resolved for you.

Each case will be first assessed and may incur a small fee for returns, refunds, or cancellations to cover cost of administration and logistics of up to 15%. This is assessed case by case Shipping costs are not refundable in either direction as they are endured by the Shipping Service Provider.

Items that are not covered under change of mind are consumables like cleaning solvents and aerosols. Some Media devices including Hard drives and Hard drive readers.

Warranty

Sometimes an item needs to be replaced as the magic smoke escaped or stopped working as intended. Our items are covered under Australian Consumer Law and you are entitled to a replacement or refund on the product and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage incurred cause of a faulty product.

Standard Warranty

  • 12-month warranty on all items unless listed on the product page

Exceptions to Standard Warranty:

  • Misuse. Using the item in a way that it was not intended that cause the fault.
  • Constructed Kits and development kits. Can be damaged by the incorrect installation of components. Unless manufacturer fault or defect.
  • Static sensitive devices handled incorrectly.

If you believe a product is faulty please log into your account and file a dispute and we will do our best to resolve this issue as quickly as possible! Cairns Electronics will pay the return costs to the customer where the warranty claim has been accepted.

 

Updating Account Information

You may update your account information anytime by logging into your account. Please ensure these details are up to date before purchasing. If your postage or billing address is incorrect after an order placement, please file a dispute under Resolution Centre on your Accounts Page. Be sure to do this as soon as possible to ensure delivery to the correct address.
 

Loyalty Program/ Account Credit

Simply create an account online to sign up for our loyalty program. Each dollar spent earns credit onto your account which can be used later. To see your credit amount simply log into your account and your available credit is displayed under your Account Summary.
When checking out you will also have an option to spend your loyalty points.
 

Payment options

Complete your online order with Visa or Mastercard, Direct Transfer or  securely check out with PayPal. When processing your order online you will be redirected to the PayPal website to continue your PayPal Express Checkout where you may pay with your PayPal account or Pay with a Card option.
