The Micro Bit is an open source hardware ARM-based embedded system designed by the BBC aimed towards education. With the release of version 2 the Micro:bit it is even more powerful with the main microcontroller upgraded to the much faster nRF52833 by Nordic Semiconductor with double the memory size to 512KB Flash, and 8 times larger size of RAM to 128KB. V2 also includes all the previous features with a few extra goodies thrown in including an on board Piezo Buzzer, Touch sensitive logo, Bluetooth 5.1, Power indicator, Power button and a MEMS Microphone.
